There is a high possibility that the Indian government will table a bill on implementing a uniform civil code in the upcoming monsoon session. The monsoon session of Parliament is slated to begin next month. Reports cited highly placed sources when they said that the UCC will be tabled in the Parliament. Sources reportedly said that the bill may be sent to the parliamentary standing committee which will hear from the various stakeholders on the Uniform Civil Code.
